Even Further Housekeeping
Posted on Saturday, December 8, 2012 by Al in Uncategorized
Folks, we’re really sorry, but the episode of HtA which we recorded yesterday is a complete audio disaster. We’re going to have to re-record the entire episode, which means it won’t be until next week some time. We’ll keep you up to date with when we’re going to be going live.
Oh, and allow me to add that reviews are probably going to be late this week as well. Sorry, but there it is.
I don’t think anyone minds the delay. This is your hobby, it should be done when you can do it and not be a burden. Over the years there have always been delays, and it’s never effected my enjoyment of the Podcast. We appreciate the info, but don’t feel too bad.
More excuses! 😛
maybe it was a bad omen for the last episode to be called “cancelled cancelled.”
I believe this might be the first time the podcast has ever been delayed/cancelled due to being unusable. That’s quite impressive, considering how long you’ve been doing this! Just to second what others are saying, it’s your hobby, don’t ever make it so much of a burden you give up completely.
That’s it. I’m cancelling my subscription.
If only the publishers would follow your example and not publish any comics that come out unreadable.
That’s gotta be frustrating; I hate when a computer misadventure at work causes me to lose a half hour’s worth unsaved of typing, I can only imagine how much it must suck to have to redo an entire podcast.
Sorry Al & Paul, that truly sounds like a hassle.
On the bright side, I still have yet to finish the last podcast, which if you think about it was two hours long and could be considered a double issue!
It’s a refreshing change to have an apology for lateness for something to do with comics.
Looking forward to the Avengers review.
What went wrong with the audio?
I think this happened before to you guys. It’s a shame to have lost the Podcast. Maybe consider recording in 15-20 minute blocs. If you did that, you’d realise if something was up with the audio 15 minutes in. You’d normally have a natural break at arount that point anyway so it wouldn’t take much in the way of post-recording editing.
It’s in reality a nice and helpful piece of info. I am glad that you simply
shared this useful information with us. Please keep us informed like this.
Thanks for sharing.
