16 June 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ll get back to reviews soon. \u00a0I&#8217;ve been busy. \u00a0In the meantime, here&#8217;s a quiet week on the singles chart. \u00a0Five new entries, but three of them below 30&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/kJQP7kiw5Fk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>1. \u00a0Luis Fonsi &amp; Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber &#8211; &#8220;Despacito&#8221;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s six weeks, and it&#8217;s\u00a0still miles ahead of the competition. \u00a0It could be there for a while, in the absence of any obvious challengers &#8211; remember, even\u00a0charity fundraisers now face the\u00a0challenge of getting streams as well as sales. \u00a0For example, Ariana Grande&#8217;s live version of &#8220;Somewhere Over The\u00a0Rainbow&#8221; lands at 60 this week, which is because it sold respectably but didn&#8217;t get\u00a0streams.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/CTFtOOh47oo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>&#8220;Unforgettable&#8221; by French Montana featuring Swae Lee<\/strong><\/a> climbs two places to 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. \u00a0David Guetta featuring Justin Bieber &#8211; &#8220;2U&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RqcjBLMaWCg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Yes, this piece of product placement really is the official video. \u00a0Or for now, anyway. \u00a0There&#8217;s going to be another one later. \u00a0But as it stands, we\u00a0have\u00a0Victoria&#8217;s Secret models lip-synching to Justin Bieber. \u00a0Guetta gets his highest placing since &#8220;Dangerous&#8221; in 2014. \u00a0Bieber already\u00a0appears on two other tracks in the top ten &#8211; &#8220;Despacito&#8221;, and the previous number one, DJ Khaled&#8217;s &#8220;I&#8217;m the One&#8221;, which is still hanging around at 7. \u00a0In fact, you wonder if Bieber is actually driving the sales here. \u00a0Guetta&#8217;s previous single, &#8220;Light My Body Up&#8221;, couldn&#8217;t get above 64\u00a0&#8211; admittedly an understated\u00a0number by his normally epic standards, but still a track with Nicki Minaj involved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. \u00a0Little Mix &#8211; &#8220;Power&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Dw8B1q1tKgs\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This entered at 27 two weeks ago, dropped back in week two, and now vaults up the chart. \u00a0Presumably that&#8217;s because the video came out and the single version with Stormzy is out. \u00a0It&#8217;s now beaten the number 15 peak of previous single &#8220;No More Sad Songs&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>26. \u00a0Sigala featuring Ella Eyre &#8211; &#8220;Came Here For Love&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Uq8fE3kKIBk\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Reach for your tropical house preset sounds, Sigala is\u00a0back. \u00a0It&#8217;s his first\u00a0appearance of 2017, although things seem to have tailed off a bit after his first four singles all made the top 10. \u00a0Ella Eyre hasn&#8217;t charted since 2015 and seems to have pretty much sat out 2016 entirely,\u00a0but presumably there&#8217;s an album in the offing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>35. \u00a0Major Lazer featuring Travis Scott, Camila Cabello &amp; Quavo &#8211; &#8220;Know No Better&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DumuyU6SuaQ\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the fourth single from Major Lazer&#8217;s upcoming album &#8220;Know No Better&#8221; (the first was &#8220;Cold Water&#8221;, which came out almost a year ago now &#8211; it&#8217;s the Calvin Harris album-as-greatest-hits model, I guess). \u00a0Cabello&#8217;s other single &#8220;Crying in the Club&#8221; is a non-mover at 23 this week. \u00a0Scott gets his second hit, after guesting on &#8220;Portland&#8221; by Drake earlier in the year. \u00a0And serial collaborator Quavo is also on Liam Payne&#8217;s &#8220;Strip That Down&#8221; (at 4) and DJ Khaled&#8217;s &#8220;I&#8217;m The One&#8221; (at 7), not to mention Post Malone&#8217;s &#8220;Congratulations&#8221; (at 58). \u00a0He has yet to have a hit\u00a0all of his own.<\/p>\n<p><strong>38. \u00a0Imagine Dragons &#8211; &#8220;Thunder&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/fKopy74weus\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Imagine Dragons\u00a0last had a hit of their own in 2015\u00a0with &#8220;I Bet My Life&#8221;, although they cropped up on the <em>Suicide Squad\u00a0<\/em>soundtrack hit &#8220;Sucker for Pain&#8221; last year. \u00a0This is decidedly electronic stuff for Imagine Dragons, isn&#8217;t it? \u00a0Sounds like a record destined to live on soundtracking recap packages on BBC Sport. \u00a0It&#8217;s the second single from their upcoming album; the first missed the\u00a0top 40 by a hair.<\/p>\n<p><strong>39. \u00a0Lil Uzi Vert &#8211; &#8220;XO Tour Llif3&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Zgmvg-zzctI\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s a rapper from Philadelphia, and this is his\u00a0first hit under his own power &#8211; though\u00a0he&#8217;s also on Migos&#8217;s &#8220;Bad &amp; Boujee&#8221;, which got to number 30 earlier in the year. \u00a0This made the top 10 in America.<\/p>\n<p>On the album chart:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Truth is a Beautiful Thing&#8221; by London Grammar<\/strong> at 1. \u00a0It&#8217;s been nearly four years since their debut, which made number 3. \u00a0Single: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/RbUMKenn5l8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Big Picture&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Adios&#8221; by Glen Campbell<\/strong> at 3. \u00a0Campbell&#8217;s 64th and final\u00a0album (he&#8217;s 81 and retired due to Alzheimers several years ago) is a\u00a0collection of covers he recorded in 2012-3. \u00a0This is one of the highest album chart positions of his career, though he did have a number 1 with a greatest hits album in 1976.\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/dzQQoUx1oOU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Title track.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Lindsey Buckingham \/ Christine McVie&#8221; by Lindsey\u00a0Buckingham &amp; Christine McVie<\/strong> at 5. \u00a0They&#8217;re members of Fleetwood Mac, if you didn&#8217;t know. \u00a0Here&#8217;s a\u00a0<em>Tonight Show\u00a0<\/em>performance of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/TB1TSmz6AsI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;In My World&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Witness&#8221; by Katy Perry<\/strong> at 6. \u00a0The previous two albums made number 1, but the imperial phase is over. \u00a0The hit from this album was &#8220;Chained To The Rhythm&#8221;, which managed\u00a0a couple of weeks in the top 10 in\u00a0March.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Chuck&#8221; by Chuck Berry<\/strong> at 9. \u00a0Believe it or not, an\u00a0album of new Chuck Berry songs\u00a0&#8211; the last one was in 1979. \u00a0It\u00a0was announced on his 90th birthday\u00a0last October, but sadly he\u00a0died earlier this year. \u00a0Thankfully,\u00a0it&#8217;s\u00a0a\u00a0respectable farewell. \u00a0Single: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/j05AQJQRuIw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Darlin'&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Heart Break&#8221; by Lady Antebellum<\/strong> at 14. \u00a0You may remember their one hit single &#8220;Need You Now&#8221;, from 2010 and again in 2012. \u00a0They&#8217;ve been more consistent on the album chart, though this is still their lowest position\u00a0for a regular album since\u00a0they broke through (discounting a Christmas album which missed the top 40 in 2012). \u00a0Single: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/fWsAUqdtwjM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;You Look Good&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Cigarettes After Sex&#8221; by Cigarettes After Sex<\/strong> at 27. \u00a0Debut album, although they&#8217;ve been around for years. \u00a0The band is basically Greg Gonzalez and a rotating cast, and\u00a0they&#8217;re a bit dreamy-like. \u00a0Single: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/caxGz3cs7-Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Each Time You Fall In Love&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;The Optimist&#8221; by Anathema<\/strong> at 34. \u00a0Rock band who&#8217;ve been around since 1990 but\u00a0didn&#8217;t make the albums top 40 in 2014, when they got to 33. \u00a0Single: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/8y1ROzCUpbU\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">&#8220;Springfield&#8221;<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Wolves&#8221;
