by Sarah Brightman & Andrea Bocelli, the plodding pop-operatic ballad which reached number 2 in 1997. That, in turn, was, in turn, a cover of Bocelli’s own “Con Te Partirò”, which was a number one hit the previous year in France and Belgium (but not in Italy, where they would have actually understood the lyrics). As for this… well, it’s the sort of record that makes you wonder if Scooter might have done a better job of it.

The odd artist credit is because it’s going to appear on both the upcoming Jason Derulo album, and the David Guetta album “7”, which is out this week. It reaches number 9 on the album chart – roughly where his previous album landed in 2014, so no great surprises there, and his fourth top ten album going back to 2009. Willy William, if you’ve forgotten, is the French guy who was on “Mi Gente” with J Balvin.

Technically, the chart compilers are counting this as a Jason Derulo single, so it doesn’t count towards Guetta’s three song cap. In practice it makes no difference, because the only other album track to make the top 40 is current single “Don’t Leave Me Alone”.

37. Sigala, Ella Eyre & she hasn’t had a hit since 2016, and a single earlier this year crashed out at 70 – but she’s an odd fit with these guys. The song is a “going out to party on pay day” number, and it’s not great. It’s going for funky but the vibe is closer to Saturday Night Takeaway. A bit too clean, maybe.

And that’s it for new entries. This week’s climbers:

“Happier”
