DaBaby featuring Roddy Ricch &#8211; &#8220;Rockstar&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Five weeks. It heads up a static top 4. <strong>&#8220;Dinner Guest&#8221; by AJ Tracey featuring Mostack<\/strong> climbs one more place to 5<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. Regard &amp; RAYE &#8211; &#8220;Secrets&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nPLN5HXsq04\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Climbing 12-8, this has been on the chart for a while now but&#8230; well, they&#8217;ve just released a proper video for it, and there&#8217;s not much on going on at the top end of the chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Don&#8217;t Need Love&#8221; by 220 Kid &amp; Gracey<\/strong> climbs 13-10, and <strong>&#8220;Watermelon Sugar&#8221; by Harry Styles<\/strong> &#8211; which first charted last November &#8211; climbs 15-11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12. 6ix9ine &amp; Nicki Minaj &#8211; &#8220;Trollz&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oNg3M9IJJlY\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exactly as subtle as you&#8217;d expect. Though this does at least show a bit more range from 6ix9ine than we&#8217;re used to seeing, which is to say that he doesn&#8217;t just shout the whole thing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;This City&#8221; by Sam Fischer<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Party Girl&#8221; by Staysolidrocky<\/strong> both climb one place, to 16 and 17 respectively. <strong>&#8220;Don&#8217;t Rush&#8221; by Young T &amp; Bugsey featuring Headie One<\/strong> makes a rather more notable climb, from 30 to 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>22. Jawsh 685 &amp; Jason Derulo &#8211; &#8220;Savage Love (Laxed &#8211; Siren Beat)&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gUci-tsiU4I\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The convoluted credit here is, as you might guess, a legal issue. This is a Jason Derulo track which lifts the vast majority of its backing track from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k7xOBle0D_g\">&#8220;Laxed (Siren Beat)&#8221; by Jawsh 685<\/a>, which I gather is big on TikTok. Jawsh 685 is a teenager from New Zealand. (The 685 is the international dialling code for Samoa.) But they hadn&#8217;t actually finished cleared the sample when Derulo started posing teaser clips, so here we are. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>31. D-Block Europe &#8211; &#8220;Free 22&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sL1YPfe-DPg\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Well, it&#8217;s D-Block Europe. Never really my thing, but they&#8217;re consistent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Go Crazy&#8221; by Chris Brown &amp; Young Thug <\/strong>climbs 40-33. And <strong>&#8220;Be Kind&#8221; by Marshmello &amp; Halsey<\/strong> &#8211; which spent a week at number 40 five weeks ago &#8211; re-enters at number 39.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the album chart&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>1. Liam Gallagher &#8211; &#8220;MTV Unplugged&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7DhyH--HXb8\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Exactly what it sounds like. Oasis did an MTV Unplugged album in the nineties, but Liam doesn&#8217;t appear on it, for&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiox.co.uk\/artists\/oasis\/liam-gallagher-oasis-mtv-unplugged-1996\/\">well, reasons<\/a>. This is his third number 1 album as a solo artist, following 2017&#8217;s &#8220;As You Were&#8221; and 2019&#8217;s &#8220;Why Me Why Not&#8221;. Ironically enough, his &#8220;Acoustic Sessions&#8221; album from earlier this year only reached number 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. Jack Garratt &#8211; &#8220;Love Death &amp; Dancing&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZC2MHDACXkc\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His second album, coming four years after his debut &#8220;Phase&#8221;, which reached number 3. He won the Critics Choice Award at the Brits that year. I&#8217;d forgotten the name, to be honest. This is&#8230; not what I was expecting when I pressed play. It&#8217;s fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>16. Thin Lizzy &#8211; &#8220;The Essential&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wyQ-tScuzwM\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">25th anniversary compilation. Five of the last six albums to chart with a Thin Lizzy credit were different greatest hits albums. (The other one was a live album.) Thin Lizzy&#8217;s best known single is &#8220;The Boys are Back in Town&#8221;, which reached number 8 in 1976, but their <em>highest<\/em> chart position actually belongs to their cover of the folk song &#8220;Whiskey in the Jar&#8221;. It reached number 6 in 1973.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>17. The Manic Street Preachers &#8211; &#8220;Gold Against the Soul&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zJzwIFyZfck\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deluxe reissue of their second album, which reached number 8 on release in 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>33. Kodaline &#8211; &#8220;One Day at a Time&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CGYa8KuoTqA\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These guys had a couple of mid-table hit singles in 2013, which led to a couple of top five albums, but the bloom is clearly off the rose.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Not as completely dead as last week, but still quiet&#8230; 1.
