Joel Corry featuring MNEK &#8211; &#8220;Head &amp; Heart&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two weeks. It&#8217;s growing, too, with weekly streams now at 9.1 million. The top three is static, and our highest new entry is&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Nathan Dawe featuring KSI &#8211; &#8220;Lighter&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Di0nAk2_Tpw\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The follow-up to Dawe&#8217;s debut hit &#8220;Flowers&#8221;, which has been on the chart since April and peaked at number 12; it&#8217;s currently at 27. This is also the highest chart position to date for KSI, who I guess has now made the jump from &#8220;YouTuber and sometime rapper&#8221; to &#8220;rapper&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The uncredited singer, who&#8217;s on more of the track than KSI, is Ella Henderson. She had a number 1 hit in 2014, she was in the top 10 last year on a Jax Jones track, and she has a co-writing credit on this &#8211; why she doesn&#8217;t have an artist credit is beyond me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6. Taylor Swift &#8211; &#8220;Cardigan&#8221;<\/strong><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=osdoLjUNFnA\">8. Taylor Swift featuring Bon Iver &#8211; &#8220;Exile&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><br><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KsZ6tROaVOQ\">10. Taylor Swift &#8211; &#8220;The 1&#8221;<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/K-a8s8OLBSE\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The maximum three permitted tracks from her surprise album <strong>&#8220;Folklore&#8221;<\/strong>, which predictably becomes her fifth consecutive number one album. After she seemed to be drifting into more and more records that existed primarily as branding exercises, this is a pleasant return to something more song-driven, and it&#8217;s been well reviewed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An unexpected side effect is a top ten hit for indie folk outfit Bon Iver, though they <em>do<\/em> have one previous top 40 credit &#8211; &#8220;Blood Bank&#8221; managed a week at number 37 in 2009.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>only<\/em> record climbing to a new peak this week is <strong>&#8220;Dancing in the Moonlight&#8221; by Jubel featuring Neimy<\/strong>, which climbs 21-16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>17. Little Mix &#8211; &#8220;Holiday&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OQAqVIlmDWY\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8230;topical&#8230;?  This&#8217;ll be the second single from their upcoming album &#8211; the last one came out in April, so I&#8217;m guessing they were holding off to see if they could wait for the pandemic to pass. It&#8217;s not an immediately gripping son, and Little Mix&#8217;s bigger hits tend to enter high. But we&#8217;ll see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And that&#8217;s literally it for the singles chart. On the album chart, we&#8217;ve got &#8220;Folklore&#8221; at number one, and&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>2. Ronan Keating &#8211; &#8220;Twenty Twenty&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k-fzIyPsqJU\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ronan Keating&#8217;s eleventh album, titled to celebrate twenty years of his solo album. (Confusingly, he released an album titled &#8220;10 Years of Hits&#8221; in 2004, by counting his time with Boyzone&#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. Neck Deep &#8211; &#8220;All Distortions are Intentional&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6d3Fb57g1xo\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not a band whose name I ever hear except when I&#8217;m writing these posts, but Neck Deep are on their third top ten album in five years. Number 4 matches their previous peak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11. Logic &#8211; &#8220;No Pressure&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/gfcBswn2nH8\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Logic&#8217;s final album, apparently, since he&#8217;s announced his retirement from music. We&#8217;ll see if that sticks. It&#8217;s his highest placed album, though only by a margin of one place over 2019&#8217;s &#8220;Confessions of a Dangerous Mind&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12. The Kid Laroi &#8211; &#8220;F&#8211;k Love&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/n79N2Vk2Y48\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Australian rapper who was endorsed by Juice WRLD (and the common influences are very obvious, which isn&#8217;t such a bad thing). It&#8217;s his first appearance on the UK charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>39. Seasick Steve &#8211; &#8220;Love &amp; Peace&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eNwg7JLRFiM\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, this seems remarkably low for a new Seasick Steve album &#8211; it&#8217;s only two albums ago that he was placing in the top 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Once again, if it wasn&#8217;t for a big name releasing an album, everything would be a bit quiet&#8230; 1.
