Olivia Rodrigo &#8211; &#8220;Drivers Licence&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Five weeks, without much difficulty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Digga D &amp; AJ Tracey &#8211; &#8220;Bringing It Back&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZquDW-b1A7g\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Easily the biggest hit to date for Digga D, who&#8217;s never previously got above 18. Of course, he&#8217;s working with AJ Tracey here, who had four straight top ten hits last year alone.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The Business&#8221; by Tiesto<\/strong> climbs 11-7, which is only his fourth top 10 hit in a chart career that stretches back to 2001.\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Goosebumps&#8221; by HVME<\/strong> climbs 16-10, and\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Save Your Tears&#8221; by the Weeknd<\/strong> climbs 31-15 as the single promotion starts to feed through, even though it&#8217;s been out for ages.\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Friday&#8221; by Riton x Nightcrawlers featuring Mufasa &amp; Hypeman<\/strong> climbs 24-16.<\/p>\n<p><strong>19. A1 &amp; J1 &#8211; &#8220;Latest Trends&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aNMpLQwu9Fk\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another from the &#8220;It came from TikTook&#8221; file, though strictly this actually started as a snippet on Houseparty, of all things. Come to think of it, Houseparty might be very well suited for music promotion&#8230; Anyway, they&#8217;re teenagers, and it&#8217;s a debut for both &#8211; sadly, this has nothing to do with turn-of-the-century boy band A1.<\/p>\n<p><strong>21. Cardi B &#8211; &#8220;Up&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rCiBgLOcuKU\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The follow-up to &#8220;WAP&#8221; puts Cardi B back in her more typical chart positions &#8211; her biggest hits have tended to come as a guest rapper, and &#8220;WAP&#8221; was something of an outlier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>23. ATB x Topic x A7S &#8211; &#8220;Your Love (9pm)&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9hbu9toStfc\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Topic and A7S had a hit last year with &#8220;Breaking Me&#8221;, which got to number 3. Topic&#8217;s a German producer, A7S is a singer from Sweden. This follow-up, which has one of the most irritating vocal processing treatments I&#8217;ve heard in a while, samples the hook from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ri6Efk1SPJc\">ATB&#8217;s &#8220;9pm (Till I Come)&#8221;<\/a>, a number 1 for two weeks in 1999, and something of an Ibiza classic. ATB wasn&#8217;t a one-hit wonder &#8211; he had two other top five hits on the back of &#8220;9pm&#8221; &#8211; but this is the song he&#8217;s remembered for.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;Heat Waves&#8221; by the Glass Animals<\/strong> climbs 34-24, another track finally getting traction months after it was released.<\/p>\n<p><strong>35. Ava Max &#8211; &#8220;My Head &amp; My Heart&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Wh1Fdk_GPaY\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ava Max is still struggling to really follow up her number 1 debut &#8220;Sweet But Psycho&#8221; from 2018; she&#8217;s had two other hits since then, one in 2019, one in 2020, and both getting stuck in the teens. Let&#8217;s see if this one meets a similar fate. The familiar chorus melody, which is duly credited, comes from the song best known to Anglophone audiences as &#8220;Around The World (La La La La)&#8221; by ATC &#8211; number 15 in 1999. The Russian original is &#8220;Pesenka&#8221; (&#8220;Song&#8221;) by Ruki Vverh! Duncan Laurence &#8211; &#8220;Arcade&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/51u5fnyrGj4\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Hello again, TikTok. Not content with dusting off a James Arthur album track and reviving the sea shanty as a mainstream musical genre, TikTok now brings us a surprise top 40 entry for the winner of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest. Technically still the reigning champion, since 2020 was pandemicked off. We&#8217;re assured that the 2021 contest\u00a0<em>will<\/em> take place, even if it has to be done entirely by video link.<\/p>\n<p>On the album chart&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. The Foo Fighters &#8211; &#8220;Medicine at Midnight&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PeFcpUxkYmg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s their fifth number 1 album. The others are &#8220;One By One&#8221; (2002), &#8220;Echoes Silence Patience &amp; Grace&#8221; (2007), &#8220;Wasting Light&#8221; (2011) and &#8220;Concrete and Gold&#8221; (2017).<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. The Weeknd &#8211; &#8220;The Highlights&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A greatest hits album; we&#8217;ve mentioned the current single already.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Black Country, New Road &#8211; &#8220;For The First Time&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/u3H8O8RJp3M\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Despite the video, they&#8217;re a band from London, and this is their debut release. It&#8217;s been a while since I&#8217;ve seen an indie video that had quite such\u00a0<em>ITV Chart Show<\/em> indie-chart tendencies. Weirdly compelling, though.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Fleet Foxes &#8211; &#8220;Shore&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/L2E2DpWO3-Y\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another band whose fans apparently hold out for the physical version &#8211; this has been available digitally since October, but it only reached number 68. Nonetheless, thanks to physical sales, it&#8217;s their fourth top ten album.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;What&#8217;s Your Pleasure&#8221; by Jessie Ware<\/strong> re-enters at number 9 after a TV performance; it previously had a week at number 3 on release last July, and then dropped straight out of the top 40.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. The Staves &#8211; &#8220;Good Woman&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eYg3CenxN18\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Their highest-placed album, by one place. The Staves were last in the chart in 2015. They did release an album in 2017, but it didn&#8217;t chart &#8211; most likely because it started as a Tidal exclusive, which would have limited its first-week audiences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>23.
