He’s never been that significant a presence in the singles chart; his all-time best is number 9 for “Middle Child” in 2019. The lead single from this album, “i n t e r l u d e”, got to 25 – and gets shouldered aside this week by the three-song rule.

This isn’t the “Fall Off” album that Cole has been working on since 2018. But catchy! Decent debut hit.

Bella Poarch is another crossover from social media; she currently holds the record for the most-liked video on TikTok. Currently at 49.2 million likes. It’s pointless, but it’s precise.

That’s her lipsynching to “Soph Aspin Send” by Millie B, a notoriously inept diss track from the BG Media stable of Blackpool-based YouTube rappers, released back in 2016. If you want to know more about how “Soph Aspin Send” was received, when it came out, this is fairly illustrative. Poarch’s snippet kind of loses how bad the original track is, if you don’t know it already, since she’s chosen the competent bit. (Even Millie B describes it as “my least favourite track that I’ve made”.) As for this track, this… certainly isn’t subtle, but it’s undeniably catchy, and she can sing.

I’ll be honest, though, I disappeared down a rabbit hole of reading up on M to the B.
