Carolina Gaitan, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero &amp; Stephanie Beatriz &#8211; &#8220;We Don&#8217;t Talk About Bruno&#8221;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Three weeks. The top 4 is static, which means\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Surface Pressure&#8221; by Jessica Darrow<\/strong> gets a second week at number 4. And\u00a0<strong>&#8220;The Family Madrigal&#8221; by Stephanie Beatriz, Olga Merediz &amp; The Cast of\u00a0<em>Encanto<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>climbs 11-7, giving Disney three top ten hits. It&#8217;s not the first time that the top 10 has contained three songs from the same soundtrack, but you have to go back to the late 70s (<em>Grease<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Saturday Night Fever<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>As for new entries&#8230; yeah, it&#8217;s quiet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>25. Central Cee &#8211; &#8220;Cold Shoulder&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8efu1VaDk0c\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Already on to his third hit single of 2022, and it&#8217;s only the start of February. In fact, if you count his appearance on\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Overseas&#8221; by D-Block Europe<\/strong> it&#8217;s four &#8211; that song entered at 8 just before Christmas, returned to the top 10 after the festive glut, and finally reaches a new peak of number 6 this week. Central Cee&#8217;s own 2022 hits have all peaked outside the top 20, but boy there&#8217;s a lot of them.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>29. Charli XCX featuring Rina Sawayama &#8211; &#8220;Beg For<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>You&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h69otAKumSg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the third single from the upcoming Charli XCX album, but the first to make the top 40 &#8211; in fact, single number two didn&#8217;t even make the top 100. Charli XCX has a weird place in pop music, as a once-hotly-tipped act who never really made it but somehow keeps hanging around on the fringes of actual success. It&#8217;s unlikely to be due to Rina Sawayama, a London-based Japanese singer making her first appearance on the singles chart (or the album top 40, for that matter). The chorus is an acknowledged lift from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qux6PhqbBBU\">&#8220;Cry For You&#8221; by September<\/a>, a number 5 hit in 2005. September is still active in her native Sweden under her real name, Petra Marklund.<\/p>\n<p><strong>32. George Ezra &#8211; &#8220;Anyone for You&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RkfvelOJvhI\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>This is the lead single from his third album &#8220;Gold Rush Kid&#8221;. His last album was back in 2018, though he did release a Christmas single at the end of last year. I&#8230; quite like this, actually, though I&#8217;m struggling to put my finger on why.<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s your lot for new entries. This week&#8217;s climbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Where Are You Now&#8221; by Lost Frequencies &amp; Calum Scott<\/strong> climbs 7-5.<\/li>\n<li>As already mentioned,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Overseas&#8221; by D-Block Europe featuring Central Cee<\/strong> climbs 8-6 for a new peak.<\/li>\n<li>And\u00a0<strong>&#8220;The Family Madrigal&#8221;<\/strong> climbs 11-7.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Make Me Feel Good&#8221; by Belters Only featuring Jazzy<\/strong> climbs 13-9. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cZvLR-K3IQU\">It has a video (of sorts) now.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Down Under&#8221; by Luude featuring Colin Day<\/strong> climbs 16-10.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Packs and Potions&#8221; by Hazey<\/strong> climbs 18-15.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;The Motto&#8221; by Tiesto &amp; Ava Max<\/strong> climbs 33-26, so maybe I wrote it off too early.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Sweet Talker&#8221; by Years &amp; Years and Galantis<\/strong> climbs 30-28.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Pushin P&#8221; by Gunna, Future &amp; Young Thug<\/strong> climbs 31-30.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are four records dropping out of the top 40 this week (three new entries, plus &#8220;Stay&#8221; re-entering at 38 as it hovers around the number 40 point).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Light Switch&#8221; by Charlie Puth<\/strong> falls 39-42, after a single week in the chart.<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Tell Me Something Good&#8221; by Ewan McVicar<\/strong> must have been far enough past its peak to be hit by the downweighting rule, since it falls from 29 to 69.<\/li>\n<li>Naturally, the two\u00a0<strong>Meat Loaf<\/strong> songs &#8211;\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Bat Out Of Hell&#8221;<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>&#8220;I&#8217;d Do Anything for Love (But I Won&#8217;t Do that)&#8221;<\/strong> also drop out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the album chart:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Don Broco &#8211; &#8220;Amazing Things&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OI6BWndxkcs\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Their fourth album, their first number one &#8211; they&#8217;ve been steadily growing to this point. This is an interesting example of how the album chart remains dominated by records that are actually\u00a0<em>bought<\/em> by their fanbase &#8211; &#8220;Amazing Things&#8221; has been available on streaming services since October, but that release earned it a single week at number 91. It&#8217;s the physical release that now sends it to number 1. The delayed physical release isn&#8217;t a marketing stunt &#8211; it was a supply chain issue, apparently.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Jamie Webster &#8211; &#8220;Moments&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1jcOpGwXZnA\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>His second album; the first one got to number 6 in 2020. He&#8217;s often classed as a folk act, but the single above isn&#8217;t\u00a0<em>particularly\u00a0<\/em>folk to my ears.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7. Scarlet Rebels &#8211; &#8220;See Through Blue&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j-TiutLiVAg\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Welsh rock band. It&#8217;s actually their second studio album, but their 2019 debut didn&#8217;t chart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>22. Paul Draper &#8211; &#8220;Cult Leader Tactics&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/eINyXdckby8\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Second solo album from the lead singer of Mansun. Honestly, the single above feels like something you&#8217;d knock up as a parody.<\/p>\n<p><strong>37. Eels &#8211; &#8220;Extreme Witchcraft&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3ks4fZF9szw\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Same position as 2020&#8217;s &#8220;Earth to Dora&#8221;. That one looked like an outlier in their chart record; they normally placed in the top 20. Well, so much for that idea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>39. Saint Phnx &#8211; &#8220;Happy Place&#8221;<\/strong> a<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Q8Q-eLPXx1Q\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s pronounced &#8220;Saint Phoenix&#8221;.
