This is not a criticism. When I started doing these, I figured a lot more books would be like this.

PAGES 2-3. Deadpool rambles on to Wolverine.

The opening pages repeat the page layout from the same pages in the last two issues.

Deadpool might be vaguely suggesting that he wants to recapture the sort of double act relationship that he had with Cable (“my chipper go-getter alongside your world-weary grump”).

Most of the odd couples that Deadpool cites are obvious. Felix and Oscar (from Neil Simon’s The Odd Couple) are probably the most obscure, but there was a revival of that that ran for three seasons on CBS just a few years ago.

Wolverine is in full-on cartoon violence mode in this story, but, well, Deadpool’s visiting.

PAGES 4-6. Weasel and Maverick assemble the thing in the briefcase, and it escapes.

The obvious implication, given the data page later in the issue, is that this is Danger’s child. Blind Al explains the plot, which is basically that the X-Desk have pressganged Danger into making robot X-Men duplicates (for some unknown reason), using something as leverage against Danger, which is being held off planet by the Shi’ar. The connection between Danger and the Shi’ar is that she’s the Danger Room come to life, and the Danger Room technology was obtained by Professor X from the Shi’ar (thanks to his relationship with their Empress Lilandra).

PAGES 20-21. Blind Al takes Wolverine and Deadpool to her hideout.

And explains the plot.
