Beyonc\u00e9 &#8211; \u201cTexas Hold \u2019Em\u201d<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<strong>8. Beyonc\u00e9 &#8211; \u201cJolene\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>9. Beyonc\u00e9 featuring Miley Cyrus &#8211; \u201cII Most Wanted\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/x9XHMK3nWr4?si=VrMitpsrFFQOi5BK\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/SyXfJi2KZ-A?si=pTHZTK9I1rIR0Ci0\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The maximum three tracks from the album <strong>\u201cCowboy Carter\u201d<\/strong>, which predictably enters at number 1 &#8211; Beyonc\u00e9 hasn\u2019t missed number 1 with a studio album since 2013. After two weeks at number 3, \u201cTexas Hold \u2019Em\u201d returns to number 1 for a fifth week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJolene\u201d is the talking point cover version. Country hasn\u2019t traditionally been huge in the UK, but \u201cJolene\u201d <em>was\u00a0<\/em>a hit for Dolly Parton back in 1976, reaching number 7 (so still one place above Beyonc\u00e9). Dolly Parton\u2019s only other top 40 hit in the UK was \u201cIslands in the Stream\u201d with Kenny Rogers, which also got to number 7 in 1983. Everyone knows \u201c9 to 5\u201d but it didn\u2019t actually make the top 40.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>As for \u201cII Most Wanted\u201d, it\u2019s far from an obvious single, but it\u2019s a good song. Miley Cyrus is the highest profile guest star on the album, at least if we\u2019re judging by her chart record, and country plays to her vocal strengths.<\/p>\n<p><strong>22. Mark Ambor &#8211; \u201cBelong Together\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/r0c9Q21AfLA?si=pIYs1Y84DEJgYDKS\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Yet more folk-ish acoustic guitar strumming &#8211; the sound of 2024, apparently. It\u2019s his debut hit (he doesn\u2019t even have a Wikipedia entry) and it\u2019s been rising from the lower reaches for a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>27. Benson Boone &#8211; \u201cSlow It Down\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/f4Y3b7un4LE?si=rPGbxpK1_puvRjdE\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cBeautiful Things\u201d gets displaced by Beyonc\u00e9 after two weeks at number 1, but it\u2019s still at 2 and has every chance of going back. In the meantime, here\u2019s the follow-up single, which is\u2026 okay, I guess? It\u2019s\u00a0<em>fine<\/em> but I don\u2019t see it matching the performance of his big hit.<\/p>\n<p><strong>40. Meghan Trainor &amp; T-Pain &#8211; \u201cBeen Like This\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/_L0QyGE4nJM?si=PvE_GoE9nyPcRU0-\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve found it. The least enticing artist credit imaginable. Alarmingly, this has been climbing from the lower reaches for a couple of weeks, so it might actually have some momentum.<\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s climbers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cToo Sweet\u201d by Hozier<\/strong> climbs 8-4<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cI Like the Way You Kiss Me\u201d by Artemas<\/strong> climbs 13-6. Didn\u2019t see that coming, to be honest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cBirds in the Sky\u201d by NewEra<\/strong> climbs 23-20.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cBack on 74\u201d by<\/strong> <strong>Jungle<\/strong> climbs 32-25, matching the peak of its first run from last year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cHappier\u201d by the Blessed Madonna featuring Clementine<\/strong> <strong>Douglas<\/strong> climbs 40-26.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cGreen &amp; Gold\u201d by Rudimental and Skepsis featuring Charlotte Plank and Rico Dan<\/strong> climbs 30-29.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have five new entries plus a re-entry at 38 for \u201cEvergreen\u201d by Richy Mitch &amp; The Coal Miners. The six tracks making room for them:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u201cExes\u201d by Tate<\/strong> <strong>McRae, <\/strong>which peaked at 12 just before Christmas and re-entered after the Christmas break. Not to be confused with the seemingly indestructible \u201cGreedy\u201d, which has been on the top 40 for 29 uninterrupted weeks and still holds the record as the longest running track on the top 40. It\u2019s at 32 this week.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cCinderella\u201d and \u201cType Shit\u201d by Future &amp; Metro Boomin featuring Travis<\/strong> <strong>Scott<\/strong>, which got single weeks at 18 and 20.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cAct II &#8211; Date at 8\u201d by 4Batz featuring Drake<\/strong>, which peaked at 18 and lasted three weeks.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cSo American\u201d by Oliva Rodrigo\u00a0<\/strong>after a single week at 24.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u201cEscapism\u201d by Raye featuring 070 Shake<\/strong>, which had four weeks as a re-entry on the back of the Brit Awards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the album chart,\u00a0<strong>\u201cCowboy Carter\u201d by Beyonc\u00e9\u00a0<\/strong>is number 1, but we\u2019ve covered that. Unsurprisingly, few artists are willing to go up against a new Beyonc\u00e9 album.<\/p>\n<p><strong>8. Ride &#8211; \u201cInterplay\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/KR31bfYn3NM?si=wpxwIcoBeY7dYQrv\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Ride have released three albums since re-forming, and this is fairly typical of their chart positions. The previous one, in 2019, got to number 7.<\/p>\n<p><strong>26. Sum 41 &#8211; \u201cHeaven X Hell\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yYk2BTwuQnM?si=b-QkeeNCOmIGDu2c\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Again, that\u2019s about what you\u2019d expect from a Sum 41 album these days. Its 2019 predecessor, \u201cOrder in Decline\u201d, go to 29.<\/p>\n<p>In an alarming sign of the health of the album market,\u00a0<strong>CoComelon\u2019s \u201cNursery Rhymes by CoComelon\u201d<\/strong> &#8211; a five-year-old collection of nursery rhymes from a YouTube channel &#8211; is actually\u00a0<em>climbing<\/em>, and reaches number 29 this week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>38. J-Hope &#8211; \u201cHope on the Street &#8211; vol 1\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/z4Rg_VgOlJU?si=TcgJ7WDYt3w5cx8s\" width=\"400\" height=\"225\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Another BTS solo project. It\u2019s J-Hope\u2019s second solo album; the first one came out in 2022 and didn\u2019t chart in the UK. He does have one UK hit single to his credit &#8211; \u201cOn the Street\u201d, which reached number 37 and had J Cole on it &#8211; but thus far he\u2019s had limited impact as a solo artist in the UK.
