  1. Mark coale says:

I wonder when the last time was that we both released a podcast on the same day, given the infrequency of both shows.

(We had Mark Waid on talking about continuity and multiverses, for those who might be interested.)

  2. Michael Keloisim says:

I should have at least tied for outstanding achievement. I call Scottish interference in this election. As for there being a successor to Comixology, dream on. Digital comics are a dead market. Amazon pulled the plug and dumped everything onto Kindle for a reason. IDW, Dark Horse, Archie, and DC all shuttered their platforms and for all intents , so did Comixology. The industry has driven away so many fans that there is no market for digital anymore. Comics are surviving on variant covers alone, and until some genius finds a way to make variant cover comic NFT’s, there will be no more digital comics platforms. Even if there were, who would trust them after the collapse of Comixology? Many people claim they cannot even access their library, and those who invested in Dark Horse, IDW, and Archie were out everything. Manga is killing western comics….EVOLVE OR DIE.

  3. Josie says:

Mark, I recently read through Mark Waid’s Dr. Strange run. I’ve always considered Waid capable of writing perfectly solid suerhero comics, but Dr. Strange was . . . really quite awful, in baffling ways. Has he done anything better lately?

  4. Mark Coale says:

I haven’t read those. I only read his recent DC stuff. I’ve liked Worlds Finest, Batmannv Robin a little less, but that might be because I’m not a big Damien guy. He’s going to be doing Shazam at some point in the future.

  5. Person of Con says:

Great episode! Nice to hear about some comics I didn’t get a chance to read in 2022.

I continued my yearly tradition of forgetting to vote, but this time, I would have just spammed Kate Beaton’s Ducks for everything anyway.
