Charts – 25 April 2025

Posted on Sunday, April 27, 2025 by Paul in Music

Basically a dead week on both the singles and albums charts, but let’s run through them anyway.

1. Alex Warren – “Ordinary”

That’s six weeks. It’s now two weeks past its peak but retains a massive lead over “Pink Pony Club” at number 2, and the top 3 is static, with “Azizam” at 3.

25. Addison Rae – “Headphones On”

A second top 40 hit to follow “Diet Pepsi”, which reached number 10 last year. Two other singles have missed the top 40 since then, but this charts immediately in its first week out. The Lana Del Rey influence is less pronounced on this one, which is a rather dreamy dance track.

And that’s the lot. This week’s climbers:

  • “Show Me Love” by WiztheMC and bees & honey climbs 6-4.
  • “Love Me Not” by Ravyn Lenae climbs 10-9.
  • “Steve’s Lava Chicken” by Jack Black climbs 21-11. Sure. Why not.
  • “Undressed” by Sombr climbs 19-13, and…
  • “Back to Friends” by Sombr climbs 23-20. His two debut hits continue to march up the chart together, with “Undressed” taking the lead.
  • “Shake it to the Max (Fly)” by Moliy & Silent Addy climbs 35-25 with some real momentum on TikTok.
  • “Here in your Arms” by Nathan Dawe & Abi Flynn climbs 38-34.

In the absence of anything else happening, there are a bunch of re-entries at the bottom end of the chart as records waver in and out: “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga at 36, “The Door” and “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims at 37 and 40. So there are four tracks leaving the top 40:

  • “End of the World” by Miley Cyrus, which entered at 23 two weeks ago – this has faltered.
  • “Caramel” by Sleep Token, a fanbase record which entered at 10 two weeks ago.
  • “Henry Come On” by Lana Del Rey after a single week at 30.
  • “Fortnight” by Taylor Swift featuring Post Malone, which re-entered at 29 last week due to a Record Store Day release.

On the album chart:

1. Taylor Swift – “The Tortured Poets Department”

Returning for an eleventh week at number 1 because of the release of a limited edition CD.

7. Davido – “5ive”

He’s from Nigeria (born in Atlanta, but raised in Lagos), and this is his fifth album. Only its predecessor made the albums top 40 in the UK, but it got to number 10.

40. Doechii – “Alligator Bites Never Heal”

Reissued on CD, and making the album top 40 for the first time – its previous peak at been 65 in March.
